THE BASICS:

All of my work is done on-location in a casual setting.  So whether our session takes place inside of your home or at an outdoor location of your choice, my goal is to make sure that you and your family enjoy our time together.  During this time, I will take an unlimited number of images while we stroll through a park, or play together, or just chit-chat.  I typically let my subjects lead the way (yes it’s true!).  My sessions are not “posing” sessions but rather sessions that capture the look on a child’s or parent’s face when they least expect it.  When they are simply being “themselves”.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Simple, colorful, comfortable, and fun!  These are just some of the words I use to describe the best clothing to wear for a session.  A comfortable child makes for a happy child, so I strongly suggest dressing children in something that is not stiff and uncomfortable.  My photography style is non-traditional, and not for everyone, so if you are looking for a posed portrait of your child dressed in formal attire,  please email me and I would be happy to recommend someone for you.  Jeans are my favorite on boys, and I love girls in simple, casual dresses.  If weather permits, bare feet are my favorite – there is nothing better than seeing those piggies wiggling their way into a portrait.  Or on a cool, fall day you can’t beat a pair of fun boots and a colorful hat with matching scarf.  I have a whole list of do’s and dont’s, so please email me for my Clothing Suggestions Form.
